Strange but true...you can now save tons of money by.....renting a wedding cake? So at CakeRental.com they offer a bunch of pre-designed cakes that you can rent to have out on the big table and take pictures with...then they take it to the kitchen, slice up a plain old sheet cake in your desired flavor, and serve that. Some of them even have a spot you can slide in a piece of real cake so you can do the photo-op slicing and no one will know your cake is an IMPOSTER! Ok, so that's weird, but weirder is the "design-your-own" feature. If you're going to design a special cake out of foam and spackle, then why not just get a real cake? Are there people out there who actually want to SAVE a towering fake wedding cake for all time in their living room?
