The weekend after Kim's wedding in Chicago we had Amy & Kevin's wedding in Iowa City, so we just stayed in the midwest for the week. We hitched a ride back to Iowa with Ryan's Mom, spent a few days with the Steeds & with Ryan's dad's side, and ate. A lot. All the time. (Seriously people, there's a bride to be here, don't tempt her with ice cream every day!) It was fun, relaxing, and thankfully lacking in chigger bites this time. We stuck around the Ames/Des Moines area until thursday, when Ryan's mom was kind enough to drive us to Iowa City - where the University of Iowa is, and where Ryan (And Kevin & Amy, Tara & Trinity, Jon, Tom, Mo, Gretchen - ok, 99% of Ryan's groomsmen-and-women) went to college.
Since Kevin & Amy are both U. Iowa alums, they could be married in the little chapel on the grounds, which was adorable (and very, very hot, as you can see in the pictures), and they were supposed to have their reception in the Student Union ballroom, but due to the floods last year, it got moved to the Athletic Club - and the school even provided campus shuttles to take us back & forth - fun. The ceremony was very heartfelt, and a long time coming (they've been together for 12 years!), and everyone was crying by the time it was over. Or maybe that was sweat. A little of both.
Amy looked stunning, and I got to see Ryan look handsome in a tux one more time (by the time our wedding rolls around I don't think it'll be shocking anymore, hah). The photographers took some gorgeous shots, so definitely check out the rest of their blog preview here. And you can see their engagement shoot here - and here too.

Congrats Kevin & Amy!!! See you soon! (In, um, 3 months! EEP!)
